Thank you to those who completed this survey which we hope will be of use to both Urgent Care Doctors and Employers. The results were sub-analysed according to seniority, location and type of clinic. The corresponding figures for December 2019 are also presented but it should be noted that due to anonymity it is not possible to say if the respondents were substantially the same as in 2019 so a direct comparison may not be valid.
The Curriculum subcommittee has completed the new curriculum document. We wish to acknowledge and thank the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and the Division of Rural Hospital Medicine New Zealand for their generous support in developing this document by permitting use of their Core Curriculum Statement as a base.

Thank you to everyone who completed the annual survey. I’m pleased to say that responses were generally positive, but we do have some initiatives in place to make this even better. The winners of the draw are also announced.
We’re busy completing the latest draft of the revised recertification programme. Next week we’ll post the programme on the website, and we aim to hold a webinar in the following week to allow members to ask questions about the programme.

The Executive Committee has unanimously agreed to endorse the Education Committee’s proposal that specialist clinics be made optional with immediate effect. The reason for the change is that registrar feedback is that they are difficult to organise and learning is limited. The Education Committee advise that the core skills lists cover many of the items…
