Mandible Injuries

Mandible fractures, this is a post from DFTB. I did not realise that mandible fractures are the most common facial fractures in children! An interesting fact to store. My 50 cents is don’t forget the tongue blade test! Also if you have high suspicion don’t rely on plain radiographs for a rule out. They are too insensitive.

Triplane ankle fractures

Now for an ouch post. The triplane ankle fracture. These are ones that will need careful consideration and conservative management should be decided upon by an orthop. Probably after CT. So watch out for these ones. https://dontforgetthebubbles.com/triplane-ankle-fractures/
