Had quite a few kids with embedded earings recently. With older individuals, I have removed them with anaesthetic but it can be quite challenging in the young. Do you have any tips for embedded earing removal?

Mandible Injuries
Mandible fractures, this is a post from DFTB. I did not realise that mandible fractures are the most common facial fractures in children! An interesting fact to store. My 50 cents is don’t forget the tongue blade test! Also if you have high suspicion don’t rely on plain radiographs for a rule out. They are too insensitive.

Recertification – update
Recertification requirements 2020 MCNZ proposed an 11-month waiver to the recertification requirements during the Covid19 pandemic. The Professional Standards Committee approved an extension in line with the MCNZ recommendation. This waiver was to ensure clinicians did not have to focus on CPD during a global pandemic when activities and availability of courses would be reduced.…
