The Education committee continues to oversee the review of the training programme, in preparation for the new training programme for those registrars starting from 2025.

We have endeavored to keep changes to a minimum for current registrars, and have advised members of these changes in several ways (email, DCT report, and website updates).

Please contact the office (DCT or TPC) if you have any queries.

In 2024 the College introduced registrar orientation webinars, which have been very successful, based on attendee feedback. These webinars are held every 3 months. We held our last webinar of the year in 2024, and future webinars will be based on the 2025 requirements. The next one is planned for March 2025 (tbc). Please contact the TPC if you wish to attend.

Thank you to those who participated in the College recent Supervisor survey. The report can be found here.

A reminder that the Urgent Care Course (UCC) will not be accessible from mid Nov 2024 following the UCPEX exam, while it is being updated and migrated to the College’s new learning platform. Members will be advised when the new UCC is available and advised how to access it at that stage.

There is an opportunity to learn more about teaching and learning in the clinical setting through this CME opportunity.

Lastly, to better manage my conflicts of interest, I have recently resigned from the Executive committee and handed over convenorship of the Education committee to Dr Adrianne Pimentel. I know education will be safe in Adrianne’s capable hands, well supported by the amazing Education committee and DCT, and wish her all the very best in this role.

Ainsley Goodman
Outgoing Convenor of Education committee.
