We are seeking an experienced doctor to work in our Acute Care Clinic. Come and join our close-knit, vibrant rural community. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment alongside a passionate and professional team. Katikati Medical Centre is centrally located in the heart of the Western Bay of Plenty, offering a wealth of outdoor activities including stunning bush walks, beautiful beaches, and a range of adventures that keep even the most active busy. In this role, you will be part of our Acute Clinic team, working closely with a dedicated group of doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff. As a Cornerstone accredited and teaching practice, we also host nursing and medical students, as well as GP registrars. You will have the option of working weekends. The Acute Clinic operates from 8 am to 6pm on weekdays, with two shifts 8am – 1pm and 1pm – 6pm. You won’t be expected to work both shifts in a single day, FTE is negotiable. The majority of patients on the acute doctors list have been phone triaged by one of our GPs in advance. They will see a nurse on arrival for observations before seeing the urgent doctor. We are proud to support the local ambulance service as a PRIME site, with all of our doctors and nurses being PRIME trained. Nurses and GPs attend callouts together, but this is only required during daytime hours – there is no overnight on call required. On-site services include pharmacy, radiology, physiotherapy, and laboratory facilities, making for a well-integrated healthcare environment. We are looking for someone with a sense of humour, strong computer skills, experience in Urgent Care, and who have a commitment to delivering high quality care to our patients. In return, we offer a great working environment, competitive pay, and delectable morning teas. For more information: https://www.katimed.co.nz/ and contact: keren@katimed.co.nz |
