Situations Vacant

Queenstown Medical Centre has been caring for the local community for more than 50 years. We pride ourselves on building respectful relationships with our team, our patients, and our wider community.

We are an approved training facility for the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care and operate 3 GP practices across Queenstown, Frankton, and Jacks Point. Our central Queenstown clinic provides dedicated urgent care services to both locals and visitors.

The Role

We’re looking for a doctor to join our Urgent Care team in central Queenstown. Our clinic is open 7 days a week, until 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends.

We operate a weekend rotation roster, giving clinicians the benefit of regular weekends off and a good work–life balance. Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered for this permanent role.

Our urgent care service focuses on non-life-threatening illness and injury, with many presentations related to the region’s outdoor activities, including injuries from ski fields, bike tracks, and other sports.

Why join Queenstown Medical Centre?

Queenstown offers an incredible lifestyle with world-class scenery, outdoor adventures, and a vibrant community. Whether you enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, or simply being surrounded by mountains and lakes, it’s a place where work-life balance truly comes to life.

At Queenstown Medical Centre, you’ll enjoy:

  • A supportive, experienced urgent care team
  • Clinical supervision and development opportunities
  • CME support
  • Regular team social events
  • A workplace culture that values teamwork, humour, and looking after each other.
