The Medical and Injury Centre (MIC) in Nelson is looking for doctors to join our roster over the summer.
MIC is an accredited Urgent Care Clinic, open 8am–10pm, seven days a week. We are located on the Nelson Hospital campus, just steps away from its Emergency Department, putting you right in the heart of Nelson’s acute healthcare environment while working within a friendly and supportive urgent care team.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, with a varied urgent care caseload and plenty of opportunity to use your acute and primary care skills.
What we’re looking for
We welcome interest from:
- Urgent Care Fellows and trainees
- Doctors with urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- GPs with a special interest in urgent care
You’ll need:
- Current Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) registration
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
- Availability for at least two shifts per week
- Flexibility to work across our opening hours, including daytime, evening and weekend shifts
- A collaborative approach and commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
