UCPEX
The office is busy getting ready for UCPEX, which is taking place on 15 and 16 November. We will be sending out any final confirmation emails to registrars and examiners by Monday next week. Look out for our emails in your spam/junk folder if you are not receiving them, and if necessary call the office to check that one has been sent.
Emails
We are encountering ongoing problems with outlook, hotmail, and yahoo email addresses. Our IT provider has been working hard to resolve these but we do sometimes receive a message saying our emails are not getting through. We will do our best to follow up through alternative means, which means calling you on the telephone if necessary. If you send an email to us and we don’t respond promptly, please call the office and leave a message saying that you have emailed so that we can look in our junk/spam folders.
Submitting paperwork before the end of the calendar year
The College annual accounts and our funding from Workforce Planning and Funding (WPF – formerly HWNZ) run on a calendar year. it is important that we are able to finalise our accounts in a timely manner.
Please send in any university paper reimbursements our practical courses (that we have agreed you can do) to Alex by close of play Friday 13 December.
If you are a contractor or committee member for the College, please submit your invoices for the year to Kushani by close of play Friday 13 December.
Supervisor reimbursements
I recently emailed all year one registrars and their supervisors, explaining the process for remuneration of supervisors (or clinics, if they pay for their supervisors’ time) for any supervision meetings for year one registrars. The text of that email is in this document.
The key takeaways are that supervisors should complete the appraisal forms and the registrars upload them to UCCIS. Without this documentation we will be unable to reimburse any meetings that would be eligible for reimbursement.
Office standdown
The office will be closed from Monday 23 December to Friday 3 January. We will be attending to urgent matters. If you wish to drop something off or pick something up from the office, please arrange for this to happen outside these dates. If you are unable to do this, then we will be able to open the office as long as we have arranged it in advance.
