Several policies are up for review. They are listed below along with some proposed minor changes. If you have comments about any of these, please email policy@rnzcuc.org.nz.

Clinical practice visit policy. This policy is very out of date, and will be rewritten in the current College document format. At a previous ExC meeting, the ExC agreed to align with MCNZ description and call it a Collegial Practice Visit policy.

Examination and assessment policy is due for an update and we are waiting on external expertise advice.

Supervision quarterly appraisal form – minor changes to be added after the recent surveys.

Supervision policy – this is being updated after the recent surveys, including section with clearer advice for registrars.

Appeals policy – minor changes to better reflect who can act as organiser.

Fellowship regulations – stylistic changes, possible changes to the definitions of university papers, and removal of the RPL table (which was included for guidance) as the RPL sits as a stand-alone document.

Complaints policy – no changes proposed at this stage.

Approved Training Facility – this may well form part of the review by the accreditation working group.

RPL Recognition of Prior Learning – this is a summary table showing what can be recognised as prior learning. It collates information from the training programme and Fellowship regulations.

The training programme selection policy has been updated, with the proposed new version available online. Further changes have been discussed (to add clarity around prior clinical experience).
