Clinical Practice Visits – King’s College Hospital Urgent Treatment Center (UTC) London UK

  • King’s College Hospital (London, UK) recently welcomed Dr. Dinesh Deonarain, RNZCUC-appointed observer and previous ExC member, to conduct clinical practice visits for two doctors pursuing their Fellowship in urgent care with the College.
  • King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill UTC stands as the sole approved training facility in the UK recognised by the RNZCUC for such training.
  • It was an honour to host the clinical practice visits. Dr. Yoosuf Paramba and Dr. Aaron Deryl will be the first to have completed their fellowship training exclusively in the UK.
  • We have three other registrars training at King’s, with a further two to join in the coming months. This helps in the efforts to promote urgent care and the high standards set by the College for the UK NHS healthcare system.
  • It is hoped that with more FRNZCUCs qualified and practising in the UK, we can gain momentum for specialty recognition by the UK General Medical Council.
