Following on from the work that the Health Quality & Safety Commission has done with its Whakakotahi primary care quality improvement programme, and previous Partners in Care co-design work, the Commission will be embarking on a primary care co-design programme in 2020/2021. The intention is to foster collaboration between local primary care teams to build capability in co-design, raise awareness of patient & consumer engagement, increase knowledge of service design methods, and apply these principles to a project of choice. The focus of this work will be achieving equity in health outcomes.
The Commission will support the teams with engagement and workshops, as well as virtual collaboratives to provide support and to share progress. There will be no financial cost to take part in this exciting programme, but will require some time commitment to participate.
You can review some of the previous co-design projects on our Partners in Care pages.
If you would like the opportunity to express your interest in this initiative you can find more information at the Primary Care co-design programme page, and download the expression of interest form and return it to us. If you have any queries in regards to the programme, do let us know and we’ll be happy to help. Expressions of interest will close on Friday 14 February 2020.
