Registrations for the Goodfellow Symposium 2026 are now open. It will be on the weekend of March 21 and 22, 2025.
For the urgent care stream, we have some fantastic talks.
Dr Paul Huggan, Infectious disease specialist, will be presenting on sepsis and the new national sepsis pathways.
Dr Craig Ellis, Emergency Specialist and Deputy Clinical Director for Hato Hone St John, will be discussing managing syncope in the community.
Professor Nicola Dalbeth, Rheumatologist, will be discussing an approach to acute gout in the community.
Dr Susie Cunningham, Paediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist, will be considering a safe approach to the child in the community with a fever of unknown origin.
Dr Fiona Stewart, Cardiologist, will talk about managing hypertensive crises in the community.
Dr Casey Smith, Emergency Specialist, will be considering risks associated with working up chest pain presentations in urgent care.
Dr Stephanie van Dijck, Paediatric and General Orthopaedic Specialist, will be considering paediatric orthopaedic injuries presenting through urgent care.
There is plenty here that will improve your urgent care practice, and, as always, there are other talks, workshops, streams, and lectures throughout the weekend. We look forward to seeing you all there.
