Experience:
Dr John Adie is an Associate Professor in Urgent Care in the University of the Sunshine Coast School of Health. His other roles are the RACGP Specific Interest Group Chair for ‘Urgent and emergency presentations to primary care’, the RNZCUC Australian Convenor representing the college on the Australian Government Department of Health Urgent Care Clinics Operational Advisory Group and World Organisation of Family Doctors (WONCA) Emergency Medicine Special Interest Group Australasian Agent. He has presented his research at local, national, and international conferences and published his research in peer-review journals.
John’s clinical work has been as a general practitioner (GP), Rural and Remote GP, and Urgent Care Physician working in General Practices, Urgent Care Clinics, and Emergency Departments in New Zealand and Australia. He is currently clinical director at the South Brisbane Urgent Care Clinic.
