It is my pleasure to produce this month’s DCT newsletter.

Core Skills list completion dates.

Reminder for trainees on the pre‑2025 training programme:
  • If you are completing the 38 pre‑2025 Core Skills, these should have been uploaded to UCCIS by 31 January 2025.
  • If they were not uploaded by that deadline, you must now complete two additional skills: Relocation of Pulled Elbow / Radial Head Subluxation and Doppler Ultrasound for Foetal Heartbeat.

TP25 registrars – (those who are on the new training programme which commenced in 2025)
  • The list also contains an additional two skills (Facial Nerve Blocks and TMJ Relocation), making 42 in total. These 42 will be available soon.

WBA’s and Workplace-Based Assessments on TalentLMS course

  • For those of you who are on the 2025 training programme a reminder to please notify the TPC (Alex) when you have completed any of the Workplace-based Assessments. She will remind you of this as well.
  • You can load the completed forms to UCCIS 2.0. If it is a DOPS please load both the DOPS form and the Core Skills List itself.
  • Please read the updated TalentLMS course: Workplace-based Assessments and be aware of who can be an assessor.
Please note: DOPS must be observed and cannot be completed at SDAW.

Workplace and Supervisors on UCCIS 2.0

Multiple workplaces
  • To claim clinical hours that count towards the training programme, you must enter an Urgent Care Workplace.
  • If you have more than workplace, please add all of your workplaces. This includes listing all workplaces that fall under a single company but have multiple locations (i.e. Tāmaki Health).
    • You should also set a primary workplace using the star icon (highlighted in green).

Supervisors
  • You must have a supervisor set up in UCCIS 2.0. If you do not, please contact tpc@rnzcuc.org.nz
  • All supervisors must be approved supervisors. If they are not approved, then they will not appear as on UCCIS your supervisor.
