Essential Knowledge Quiz
The Essential Knowledge Quiz (EKQ)was introduced in 2021 as part of the revised recertification programme and was one of the recommendations from the MCNZ.
The quiz is designed to ensure that members are engaging with the latest MCNZ and College policies and statements. It is not intended to be difficult, rather it is meant to highlight important matters for your consideration.
There is one quiz per year written. The EKQ 2026 is now available on TalentLMS.
The following is important information for you to know about the EKQ
- ONE quiz is required to be completed in every CPD year.
- The EKQ are dated to reflect the year in which they were written.
- Two quizzes are available at any one time.
- You should complete the earliest quiz that you have not previously completed. It does not matter if the date of that quiz does not reflect the year in which you are completing the quiz.
- DO NOT LOAD MORE THAN ONE EKQ PER CPD CYCLE YEAR
