The Council of Medical Colleges has developed a cultural safety toolkit to help operationalise the cultural safety training plan. The tools support critical consciousness development and transformative practice that contribute to culturally safe environments and equitable health outcomes. They are designed for use by individual practitioners to be part of an ongoing professional development plan (PDP).

Please review these tools at this link – https://www.cmc.org.nz/cultural-safety-toolkit/

Cultural safety should be considered within all our CPD activities, and these reflections should be documented within your CPD portfolio reflections. Your PDP should, ideally, contain cultural safety and health equity goals. This toolkit will help you develop these goals and seek out areas of training and learning to meet those goals.

Additionally, this toolkit is endorsed by the College for CPD, so time spent using these resources may be claimed as CPD.
