The Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care’s annual general meeting (AGM) will take place at 6pm, Tuesday 24 March 2026 using an online platform (Zoom webinar).
Full members who are practising urgent care in New Zealand will be able to submit apologies, appoint a proxy, and vote on Executive Committee appointments through an online voting platform. Voting will open at 3pm, Monday 16 March and close 3pm Tuesday 24 March. Acceptance of reports and items to be voted on at the AGM, will take place using the webinar polling system.
Any member wishing to raise a motion or matter for discussion should inform the CEO (adrian@rnzcuc.org.nz) by 9am Monday 9 March so that they can be included in the agenda.
The draft agenda, draft reports, names of nominees, details of the voting page, videoconference system, and information for each of the motions will be shared on or before Monday 16 March.
Nominations for the Executive Committee
This year there is one position becoming available which is the Vice-chairperson.
(the new title replaces “secretary” with the adoption of the new Society Rules).
The Vice-chairperson:
- Deputises in the absence of the chairperson.
- Convenes the Board of Censors.
- Deals with correspondence requiring an Executive Committee response.
- Acts as the public spokesperson if the chairperson is not available.
- Becomes the chairperson until the next AGM should the chairperson resign, die, or be removed from office.

The policy is to be finalised and endorsed by the Executive Committee at their 18 February meeting, at which time the approved policy will be shared with members.
You may nominate yourself or another member of the College. If you wish to nominate another member, please first confirm that they would like to stand for a position (or positions), then email the CEO (adrian@rnzcuc.org.nz) with your nomination. Only those with a current MCNZ-issued practising certificate in urgent care may be nominated.
Those nominated will be asked to:
- Send a short bio that can be published on the website. See the website for examples.
- Be available for a podcast interview.
Nominations must be received by 9am Monday 9 March.
