Bootcamp tickets available

The biennial virtual urgent care Bootcamp will be on September 13th from 0830-1700.

Details and tickets can be found here

This year, we have a presentation from Dr Ceri Battle, the creator of the STUMBL score. That day is also Sepsis Awareness Day, so we will have some Sepsis awareness discussions, and we have a session on UTI in children, which will include an approach to getting appropriate samples in UC.

As usual, we will have presentations from urgent care Fellows, registrars and NPs aimed at providing concise, practice-changing tips, or raising important urgent care relevent information.

Ticket holders will also get access to recordings, for review at a later date.

All in all, this is a simple, fun and urgent care specific CPD opportunity, and I hope to see as many of you as possible on September 13th.

I would like to thank our main sponsor, the Medical Protection Society (MPS), along with Enovis, and the Sepsis Trust.

Urgent Care Research Network

The College has started an Urgent Care Research Network to bring together clinicians working in urgent care who have an interest, experience, or both in research. We hope that by linking people together in a formal group, we will support those who are interested in growing the body of urgent care research. The inaugural meeting has occured and terms of reference are being prepared, but people are free to join the network at any time.

This is a great way for anyone interested in getting started in research to join a group that wil offer support, advice and oportunities.
