Shorecare, a leading provider of urgent care on Auckland’s beautiful North Shore, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Clinical Director to lead our team of medical professionals. This is an exceptional opportunity for a vocationally trained medical practitioner with a passion for clinical governance and quality improvement.


About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Clinical Director will be instrumental in ensuring Shorecare’s doctors deliver comprehensive, high-quality accident and medical care to our patients and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Governance: Providing strong clinical leadership and education, including HR management of the medical team, overseeing education and training requirements, attending relevant meetings, and offering day-to-day clinical guidance within our clinics.
  • Clinical Audits: Leading and participating in clinical audits to ensure adherence to the highest standards of care.
  • Board Assistance: Providing support and assistance to the Board as required.

In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will be an active member of our clinical team, working regular doctor shifts across a 4-week roster. This will involve a mix of weekday and after-hours shifts to ensure continuous 24/7 service to the North Shore community, including being on-call one in four weekends.


About You

We are looking for a registered medical practitioner who is a vocationally trained Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care (RNZCUC). You will have over 10 years of postgraduate experience in relevant medical disciplines, including urgent care, and a demonstrated special interest in clinical governance, quality improvement, and maintaining high clinical standards in medical practice.
