Registrar subcommittee - looking for members
|
The College is forming a registrar committee, which will be a subcommittee to the Education Committee (EdC). The registrar subcommittee's purpose is to receive feedback from the registrars about their training, supervision, any issues that affect training, suggestions to improve training or any concerns. The registrar subcommittee will report to EdC with recommendations to be incorporated into EdC decision-making.

The convenor of the subcommittee is Dr Sarah-Jade Gardner, who is a member of the Executive committee. In line with College policies, she will form the subcommittee from interested members. If you are interested in joining the subcommittee as a regular contributor, please contact Sarah-Jade (sarah.gardiner@rnzcuc.org.nz).

Specialist clinics no longer a training programme requirement
|
The Executive Committee has unanimously agreed to endorse the Education Committee’s proposal that specialist clinics be made optional with immediate effect. Read more.

MCNZ election
|
Ainsley Goodman, one of our current Executive committee members has been nominated for re-election to the Medical Council of NZ for a second term of 3 years. Many of you will know Ainsley from her past role as RNZCUC’s first Director of Clinical Training. Her candidate profile can be viewed here.
Voting in the 2021 Medical Council of NZ election is open and ongoing until Friday 26 March at 12 noon. RNZCUC encourages you to vote and we wish Ainsley all the best.

Remember that we have a free, online supervisor training for our members. You’ll need to be logged in to review them at https://rnzcuc.org.nz/supervision-videos/. If you’re a supervisor and haven’t had formal supervisor training, please review those videos, and also look out for the stage 2 workshop dates. The stage 2 workshop is an interactive, online, supervisor training from Connect Comms.
