Registrars – Medical Literature Project (MLP) references

Markers have requested that registrars send electronic copies (eg pdf or word) of the full text of all references used in the submitted Medical Literature Project. This is because the markers do check references, and the time taken to source the full text of the reference can be significant.

Recertification review

As part of our strategy, and coincidentally at the same time that MCNZ wish to strengthen recertification, we are undertaking a review of our recertification requirements.  Registrars should note that they too are required to complete this programme.  The DPD has developed an in-depth survey, which members will have received in the last few days.  This is your opportunity to let us know what you think about the current programme, and what you’d like to see in the future.

Registrars – Skills Demonstration and Assessment Weekend (SDAW) 24 and 25 August

Attendance at the SDAW is optional but highly recommended. Those who attended last year said that it was well worth attending. The SDAW covers a range of clinical practical skills that are important to master. It is organised in similar format to the OSCE and as such lets you become familiar with the OSCE venue and format, giving you one less thing to be concerned about.
