College news

AGM 6pm, Tuesday 22 March

We will send a link to the agenda and voting page on Monday.
This year the number of nominations for each position matched the number of vacancies. Therefore, the College does not need to vote for Executive Committee (ExC) members. The formal announcement of the new committee will occur at the AGM, but for information:
  1. Stephen Adams will be reappointed as Treasurer
  2. Sarah Clarke will be appointed as a new member of the ExC
  3. Dinesh Deonarain will be reappointed as a member of the ExC.
There were no motions from members presented to the ExC, so the only motion requiring voting (other than the acceptance of reports) is the membership fee, which the ExC agreed should remain the same as this year.

Online option for resuscitation refresher course

The College recognises that there have been several challenges in attending resuscitation courses in recent months. The PSC have approved (for 2022 only) that an online resuscitation course may count as the refresher training. It will not count as the full resuscitation course, required once every three years.

We are arranging an online equivalent, and the provider would like to have an idea of potential numbers. If you are interested in completing your refresher training using online training, please complete this expression of interest form. Once the provider has the course running, we'll use this form to email you directly, plus advertise the course via the website and newsletter.

Bootcamp webinars

Next week we have two Bootcamp 2021 Webinars. When our conference went virtual last year it was decided to hold the planned panel discussions as webinars at a later date.
