The MoH and MCNZ have circulated advice to all doctors on treating unvaccinated patients.
|
We’ve also received advice from a medical indemnity provider on legal aspects.
|
- All ‘Designated premises’ have a legal obligation to provide care to unvaccinated patients, under a new Order.
- UCCs are ‘designated premises’.
- Declining care to the unvaccinated or making it difficult to access care may result in HDC or MCNZ sanction, or proceedings under the Huma Rights Act.
Clinicians with questions can contact their insurance provider directly for advice.
