Communications from the Pandemic Response Committee

The PRC continues to send important updates regarding the response to COVID-19, including items received by the College for sharing. Please check the latest communications on the pandemic response page on the website.

Top tips

We've notified previously that there is a waiver on recertification requirements (in line with MCNZ protocols) this year. However, any overdue targets from previous recertification cycles will be carried forward and we ask that you attend to them as soon as possible. We recommend that you continue to complete CPD if possible, as part of your personal professional development. In particular, we recommend maintaining peer review meetings and sharing your challenges and learnings. Video conferencing is an acceptable means of completing peer interactions.

A reminder to registrars that any training programme compulsory items cannot be also claimed as CME in the recertification programme. Visit the CME website page for further information.

Last chance to attend the Virtual Bootcamp

We are one week away from our virtual Bootcamp weekend. If you want to attend, tickets are still available. You will gain access to all the talks for the weekend, as well as archived recordings of all talks to watch at a later date. This is a great way to get some urgent care relevant CPD from the comfort of your own home.

Free Webinar to discuss the first draft of the revised recertification

Following on from previous surveys, we have been designing the new recertification programme and want to give members the opportunity to our preliminary ideas. We're offering a free-to-attend webinar next Friday at 4.30pm.
The webinar will present a video outlining the proposed recertification programme and some of the ideas and philosophies behind it. There will then be an opportunity for some discussion and feedback.
We are still in the early stages of developing this programme, so nothing is yet confirmed. This is part of ongoing member consultation.
To register for this free event at 4:30 pm on Friday 18th September click here. You are able to claim 1 point for CME if attending this webinar.
