Training Opportunity for the right UC or GP (or ED) Registrar(s).

We are an integrated UC/GP that offers dual Fellowship Supervision by our separate UC and GP clinical directors/supervisors (FRNZCUC/FRNZGP). We work with some of the lowest social economic status populations in NZ and you will see a good depth of clinical pathologies. At the end of the road from Middlemore Hospital, we also get to see a variety of presentations from the Emergency Queue.

Additionally, we are a teaching facility with multiple training doctors/students at any one time (currently we have a trainee intern, a house surgeon and multiple junior and senior registrars). We generally do not push doctors to meet any specific quotas but it is also important you understand you will need to be able to carry your own weight over time.

We generally will match the current rates for level of training and individual circumstances. We have a stable core team of doctors and are currently advertising this role due to one of our core team going away on maternity leave. We are looking to develop and grow our UC/GP and therefore this role is potentially long-term if you work well with others in a team environment.

In terms of rostering, we have an unusual situation where there are potentially a good number of day-time Monday-to-Friday type shifts available where you will be working alongside 1 or 2 other doctors. Both contractors and employee arrangements are available.

If you are looking for meaningful work, a great training environment, the opportunity to integrate into a close-knit team and to serve our deprived South Auckland population, this may be a good fit for you.

Fellows may also be suitable for this position if they are team-oriented and are focused on continued education, professional growth and the development of others around them
