CLINICAL GOVERNOR

Shorecare Medical Services was established in 1973 and has been offering high quality urgent care to the North Shorecare community with its two clinics based at Takapuna and Northcross.  Seeing over 78,000 patients a year, Shorecare has a diverse workforce with a mix of Urgent Care physicians, General Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists and a quality Nursing, Reception and Management team.

Shorecare  would like to invite those FRNZCUCs who hold a special interest in clinical governance, quality improvement and the maintenance of clinical standards to apply for this position.

As Clinical Governor, working with the Medical Director, you will provide clinical leadership and direction for our busy 24hr Urgent Care service, assisting with the day to day running of our two clinics, and assisting  in the achievement of strategic goals.  As part of the senior team, the role is varied and challenging, requiring a high degree of self motivation along with exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills.

The role will involve a roughly 50:50 mix of hands-on clinical work with the balance in clinical governance. Shorecare is happy to discuss the right mix of hours for a suitable candidate, although a minimum of 30 hours/week can realistically be expected.

Ideal skills and experience include:

– Experience in clinical leadership

– Experience in quality improvement initiatives

– People management

– Senior clinician who leads by example

– Experience with Medtech is an advantage

– Management of clinical projects and initiatives
