Ko Ngati Kopaki me Ngati Te Ara Nga hapu Ko Ngatokimatawhaorua Te Waka Ko Taumarere Te Awa Ko Pouerua Te maunga Ko Kawiti te Tupuna Ko Paraone Kawiti me Himiona Nga ingoa whanau Ko Sarah Jade Gardiner ahau I attended Bay of Islands College and then University of Auckland to complete Bachelor of Health Sciences with a focus on health public policy and Maori health. I then entered medical school at University of Auckland and after graduation attendee TI and house surgeon years at Tauranga Hospital. I gained Paediatric position at Whakatane Hospital and was able to complete Diploma of Paediatrics also at University of Auckland. I continued into the ED department and then out to rural GP practices in Opotiki, Whakatane and Kawerau. This allowed me to really gain a frontline perspective to rural, Māori and health in New Zealand. I was keen on the balance of acute and proactive medicine in Urgent care and the design of the programme so entered this while based at Accident Healthcare clinic in Tauranga.

I have 2 children Waimirirangi who is 8 and Joseph is 2, as well as my wonderful husband Paora.
