Office standown and leave
WIth a small team in the office, there are inevitably delays in responding to requests in our usual prompt fashion, when someone takes leave. We have two or more on leave from early December through to mid January.
If you plan to visit the office, please call ahead to ensure someone will be there.
We will not be sending out a newsletter on 29 December.

Post-graduate course in POCUS
The University of Auckland is scoping the feasibility of developing a Post Graduate Qualification in Point of Care Ultrasound and Echo for Clinicians. They believe that this would be of interest to a wide range of clinicians in acute care settings, including urgent care. Please take 2 minutes to complete the following survey to help them gauge if there is enough interest for them to continue with course development plans.

HDC eLearning
We received an email from HDC asking us to share the link to a video for consumers explaining the code of rights. Their excerpt text read:
“When you use a health or disability service in Aotearoa New Zealand, you have the protection of the Code of Rights.
It’s important that everyone knows their rights so they can ask questions, seek support, and ensure their voices are heard. The Health and Disability Commissioner has produced an animated video to explain your rights so you can ask questions, get support and make sure your voices are heard.
The video is in te reo Māori and English, we encourage you to share them to make sure everyone knows their rights.”
