Bootcamp
Bootcamp 2024 is a virtual event, taking place on Saturday 16 September. Tickets go on sale next week. We're pricing the event well within the budget of everyone, with your subscription getting you access to the full day of short educational presentations on topics relevant to urgent care, plus the invaluable discussions during the day. You also get access to the presentation recordings, which are for ticket-holders only until early 2024.
On Sunday 17 September is a short webinar/zoom discussion to allow members to share their thoughts on the College's future strategy. See more about this below.
We will send out an email with more information, including the timetable of events and the link to purchase tickets next week.

Member survey
We're seeking your input on two different matters.
The first is your thoughts on what should be in the future College strategy.
The Executive Committee (ExC) is meeting in mid October to discuss the strategy for 2024 onwards. We're seeking members' opinions and input.
We'll also hold a short online meeting for all interested members on the Sunday after Bootcamp (17 September), and will advise timings on in the email we'll send about Bootcamp.
Retired and distinguished Fellows
The ExC is also seeking your thoughts about whether we permit fully retired Fellows to use any form of post-nominal letters, and whether the College should adopt some form of award or recognition for exemplary service or contribution to the College.
The questions for all topics are in one survey, available online. We'll close the survey on 21 August so we can prepare a report for the ExC meeting taking place that week.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to provide your input.

ACC seeking EOI for acute services advisory group
ACC sent out a document to clinics last week which may not yet have been shared on to all our members. ACC are seeking people to join an expert advisory group to work with ACC to consider the future state of primary acute care services.
The output of this group will contribute to the design of a new service for implementation by 1 July 2025. An expression of interest document is available. It outlines what the group is for, who ACC would like to form the group and an application form.
Naturally the College is keen for anyone with significant interest and experience in urgent care service delivery to consider putting their name forward. Please review the document, and send your expression of interest form to PACAdvisory@acc.co.nz. By 5pm, Friday 18 August 2023.

Research grant reminder
The College sets aside $10,000 each year to support research (or research-like projects) in urgent care. The College shares this between doctors whose research/project has been recognised as supporting the College’s strategic objectives or advances urgent care in some way.
