News from the College

There's a very short update on governance from me, and some recent posts by committees and the office.

The office will be closed from today until 5 January, but the team will still be available to respond to urgent requests left by phone message or sent in by email.

Governance - SGM results - new Society Rules

Thank you everyone for voting at the recent SGM. I'm pleased to confirm that the College has adopted new society rules. The rules, and the associated Governance policy, will be implemented for the next AGM. During the first half of 2026 we'll be migrating to the new committee structures and governance processes.

Reports and posts

Bootcamp organisation for our 'epic' celebration next year is well underway. There's a short post explaining the outline plan. Remember - save the dates - 18, 29, 20 September 2026.
The Education Committee report with an update on the post-2024 training programme, the POPHLTH701 paper in 2026 and the Research Option.
The Director of Professional Development report with an update on the Essential Knowledge Quiz, and a reminder from FAC on Falls Risk Assessments, following a recent coroner's report.
The Registrar subcommittee is looking for new members and some upcoming informal social events.

Clinic patient responses - summarised report. Over a year ago I reached out to clinics and asked them to share their patient feedback responses. These were collated into one overarching survey summary. You can find the brief version of how we achieved this, along with the summary of the responses in this post.

Finally - we've created a short report about UCPEX written and OSCE that took place in November this year.
